However, it can also be very successfully used to couch down very thin or narrow yarns & cords, even ribbons, which may “wobble” around a little in the Beading foot set highlighted in the previous post this week (Monday 21st April).

You would match the size of pintuck foot with the yarn so that it fits snugly in the pintuck foot groove but is still able to move freely through the foot as you sew. Or you could use a Beading/Couching foot or one of our Pintuck feet feeding the threads or yarns under the groove twisting as you go & do a zig-zag over them.In all honesty, I have done this before but on my SERGER using a rolled hem setting.
