I am configuring a DS3400 SAN attached to a BladeCenter E. I am using the DS Storage manager running on 2008 R2 server.

All of my blades see the HBA and all of them are able to see the access LUN, however, I cannot see any hosts in the management software to bind the LUNs I have created. When I try to manually add them, the link in the tool does not work and I have found no way to add host via a CLI or where I can add them. So, the LUNs are there but cannot be bound the the hosts. I am not able to see the hosts from the management software.Ideas?Thanks,Steve. I was able to resolve this issue. The Storage Manager software I was using initially, vers 10.70.35 didn't work. I saw a rather humorous post from an IBM engineer from Russia that indicated that there was a bug in that version that would prevent seeing the LUNs this inspired me to upgrade to 10.70.50, which I found on an FTP site in Sweden, it also didn't work.

I then downgraded to version 10.60.35 I found on a server in Norway, hoping that would work but no dice. Finally, I found a version 10.30.G5 that was sitting on an FTP site in Singapore that worked. BTW, I couldn't find any of these but 10.70.35 on a 'legitimate' IBM server.
