Since the difficulties withconnecting to the webpage started, I have clicked the shield icon anddownloaded and installed that way, and that does seem to work.Because of that, I do not think that it can be high traffic which isblocking my access. Also, having been able to connect in Safe mode,leads me to think that there is some conflict in my computer.However, I have disabled my anti-virus software (AVG 8.5 Free) andtried to connect, but no luck. As I have said, I do not have anyfirewall software apart from Windows. I have run an Ad-Aware deepscan, but nothing was reported. I saved a copy of the WindowsUpdate.log for therelevant attempt, the last few lines of which read '80072ee2 WindowsUpdate FailureSoftware Synchronization Windows Update Client failed todetect with error 0x80072ee2.' I have searched this error code and run MS`s Article ID: 836941troubleshooting suggestions, but am still getting the same problem.It looks as though I shall probably have to live with it, and hopethat it clears itself eventually.
