Kramer Guitar Serial Number Sd

You’re looking at Eddie Van Halen’s #3 Kramer that was used on all tours and studio sessions during the 5150 and OU812 tours. This guitar was personal y picked out by Zeke Clark for its touch and sound when Ed offered him a guitar of his choice for his continued service. Zeke Clark was originally tech for Sammy Hagar during his solo career and both joined up with Van Halen after jamming together at Farm Aid. This guitar was originally bought from Zeke in December of 1998 and has never been up for sale until now! This guitar is in original condition with the original case. This guitar is one of the first 5 original strypers made from parts sent over from Kramer. Zeke personally built all of Ed’s strypers after working on the prototype and 5150 with Ed.

The pickups were hand wound and were all done by Larry DiMarzio. 5 of these “hot” pickups were only used in all of the original 5 strypers including the prototype. The pickup was slanted on the #3 to give more bottom attack. When the original “prototype” was made Zeke got the green light to make the #1 5150, #2 1984, and the #3 serial number F1021 which is this guitar. The photo of the band with #3 clearly center stage behind Ed was taken by Timothy White at 3rd Encore Rehearsal Studios in LA. The black and white photos was taken by Zeke’s father in the “PIT” just as Ed was ready to take the stage.

Number

Zeke has signed this photo. The 1984 was specially strung up with a bass string for use on 3 songs so the #3 was Ed’s number one backup.

Zeke also stated that very few strings broke on tour and photographers were limited to access making photos of Ed with the backups rare indeed. It comes with the B/W signed photo of Zeke, Ed and the guitar, the 5150 Tour laminate that you can see Zeke wearing in the B/W photo, 3 of Ed’s guitar picks that were in the guitar case, the 2 pieces of tape that were on the guitar to hold the guitar picks that were in the case, a color photo of Zeke Clark sitting on a couch with the guitar, framed studio shot photo, and a detailed letter of history from us. We have numerous detailed photos.

Kramer

Most my items ship the next day if purchased before 8pm EST. Here is a fantastic playing Original Kramer Focus 1000 with the Banana/Hockey stick headstock.

This one plays and sounds amazing. I believe the pickup is stock and it sounds full and warm. I’ve had many Kramer Focus guitars over the years and this had the best sounding pickup which was surprising, as most sounded thin and squealed under high gain. This one is the total opposite. There are some chips and scratches in the finish but very presentable overall. The frets are in great shape with minor play wear.

Strap buttons have been changed to Schaller strap locks. Comes with strap and original Floyd rose bar. This one is setup and ready to play. Fantastic action and great intonation.Pick this one up and shred!

I will be unavailable to ship this item till July 111984 Kramer Special C Plate Serial Number. Very good condition with lots of patina. Neck looks like Birdseye maple. Some small nicks and scratches but overall in very good condition. Probably the closest Kramer to Eddies one off 5150 with the single humbucker positioned perpendicular to the bridge vs the Baretta that has an angled pickup.

Some articles state that Eddies 5150 was actually based on this Pacer Special and not the Baretta but the Baretta was the new guitar that Kramer was marketing at the time. Condition overall is as expected on a 35 year old guitar with a couple of nicks and scratches that I tried to show in the pictures.Includes hardshell caseI also prefer Venmo.
